Juniors and seniors from Saint Joseph's University were accepted into the national liberal arts and sciences honor society, Phi Beta Kappa (PBK), during the Spring 2017 semester.

Marisa Egan, a Biology major from King of Prussia, PA, was among those accepted.

"To become a member, students must demonstrate to our chapter their love of learning both inside and outside the classroom. Many of our students are doube majors, have multiple minors, study abroad tours, have done research projects and even published in peer-review journals" said Brian Forster, Ph.D., vice president of SJU's PBK Chapter.

Phi Beta Kappa is the oldest honor society for the liberal arts in the United States. Saint Joseph's University's chapter, Phi of Pennsylvania, is one of 286 chapters around the country.

The Saint Joseph's Phi Beta Kappa induction ceremony will be held on May 17.
